203. The set is numbered to 185, and 18 secret rares are numbered 186 to 203: 12 rainbow rares and 6 gold cards. A complete master set is 345 cards, because every common, uncommon, rare and holo rare also comes in reverse holo (142 more cards).
The rainbow Pikachu VMAX (188/185), at $167.96 in market prices on Oct 29, 2026, about four times the next card. The full art Pikachu V (170/185) is second at $41.60, followed by the Rayquaza Amazing Rare (138/185) at $24.26 and the Pokemon Center Lady full art (185/185) at $18.87. See the full Vivid Voltage chase card ranking for today's prices.
Amazing Rares are Legendary and Mythical Pokemon drawn on a rainbow background that spills past the card frame, with their own rarity symbol. Vivid Voltage has six: Celebi (009), Raikou (050), Zacian (082), Zamazenta (102), Jirachi (119) and Rayquaza (138). Rayquaza is the most valuable at $24.26 in market prices on Oct 29, 2026, ahead of Jirachi at $8.89 and Celebi at $8.17.
Pikachu V and Pikachu VMAX each come in two versions: the regular Pikachu V (043/185) and Pikachu VMAX (044/185), the full art Pikachu V (170/185) and the rainbow Pikachu VMAX (188/185). On Oct 29, 2026 the rainbow VMAX was $167.96 in market prices, the full art V $41.60 and the regular VMAX $12.06.
No one has published a large pack-opening study for Vivid Voltage. One community count of 630 packs found an Amazing Rare in about 1 in 18 packs, roughly two per 36-pack booster box, but that sample is too small to trust for the rarer cards. Secret rares like the rainbow Pikachu VMAX are far harder to pull, and nobody has a reliable figure for any one card. A sealed box was $318.57 on Oct 29, 2026; see the Vivid Voltage sealed product page for today's prices.
