Sword & Shield
The 25th anniversary set: 25 new cards led by the gold Mew, plus 25 Classic Collection reprints like Base Set Charizard, with every card priced daily.
Celebrations is a special Sword & Shield set for Pokemon's 25th anniversary, released October 8, 2021. Its 25 main set cards are all holo: legendary Pokemon, Flying and Surfing Pikachu V and VMAX, Zacian V, Zamazenta V and a gold Mew (025/025). The Classic Collection adds 25 reprints of famous cards from 1999 to 2017, each with its original number and a Celebrations stamp, for 50 in all. The Base Set Charizard reprint (4/102) leads at $128.39 in market prices on Oct 29, 2026, more than twice the gold Mew. Packs held 4 cards and came only inside products. It came after Evolving Skies and before Fusion Strike.
A complete Celebrations master set contains 50 cards: the 50 cards in the set plus 0 reverse holos. Only commons, uncommons, rares and holo rares come in reverse holo. See the full checklist and cost to finish.

50. The main set is numbered 001 to 025: 17 holo rares, Flying Pikachu V and VMAX, Surfing Pikachu V and VMAX, Zacian V, Zamazenta V, a full art Professor's Research (024/025) and the gold Mew (025/025). The Classic Collection adds 25 more, which keep their original numbers, like Charizard (4/102) and Garchomp C LV.X (145/147). Celebrations has no reverse holos, so a complete master set is the same 50 cards, about $504 in market prices on Oct 29, 2026. Promos like Pikachu V-UNION came in Celebrations products but are not part of the 50.
The Classic Collection Charizard (4/102), a reprint of the Base Set card, at $128.39 in market prices on Oct 29, 2026. A 25-card subset that reprints famous cards from 1999 to 2017, from the Base Set Charizard, Blastoise and Venusaur to Tapu Lele-GX (60/145) from Guardians Rising. Each keeps its original number, rarity and copyright date, with a new holo pattern and a Celebrations stamp, and each has only one version. They come in Celebrations packs alongside the main set cards. They are legal only in formats where the original card is legal, so most people collect them rather than play them.
No. Celebrations was a special set, and its 4-card packs were never sold on their own. They came inside products, together with packs from other sets: the Elite Trainer Box (10 Celebrations packs), the Pokemon Center Elite Trainer Box (13), the Ultra-Premium Collection (17, plus metal Base Set Charizard and Pikachu cards), the Premium Figure Collection (8), the Collector Chest (6), the Pikachu V-UNION, Lance's Charizard V and Dark Sylveon V collections (4) and mini tins (2). On Oct 29, 2026 the Elite Trainer Box was $329.27 in market prices. The Celebrations sealed product page has today's prices.
No one has published a large pack-opening study for Celebrations, and with no booster boxes there is no box count to go by either. Every card in a pack is holo, and most are main set holo rares. One Australian store counted 778 packs and found the gold Mew in about 1 in 130 and the Classic Collection Charizard in about 1 in 97, but that sample is small for any one card. At $31.50 a loose pack on Oct 29, 2026, the Charizard cost about as much as 4 packs, so buying the single is usually the cheaper way to get it.
October 8, 2021, as a special set in the Sword & Shield series for Pokemon's 25th anniversary. It came after Evolving Skies, released August 27, 2021, and before Fusion Strike, released November 12, 2021. The Ultra-Premium Collection and Premium Figure Collection followed on October 22, 2021, the same day Japan got its version, the 25th Anniversary Collection.
