Sword & Shield
The Lost Zone set: Giratina VSTAR, the Giratina V alt art and a Trainer Gallery led by Pikachu V and VMAX, with every card priced daily.
Lost Origin is the eleventh main Sword & Shield expansion, released September 9, 2022. It brought back the Lost Zone, last seen in Cosmic Eclipse in 2019, with Giratina V and VSTAR in its Origin Forme at the center, plus Hisuian Zoroark and Hisuian Goodra VSTAR and Radiant Gardevoir. The set has 196 numbered cards and 21 secret rares, 217 in all, and a 30-card Trainer Gallery brings it to 247. Giratina V alternate full art (186/196) is the chase card by a wide margin, at $821.01 in market prices on Oct 29, 2026. It came after Astral Radiance and Pokemon GO, and before Silver Tempest.
A complete Lost Origin master set contains 396 cards: the 247 cards in the set plus 149 reverse holos. Only commons, uncommons, rares and holo rares come in reverse holo. See the full checklist and cost to finish.

247. The main set is numbered to 196, 21 secret rares are numbered 197 to 217 (15 rainbow rares and 6 gold cards), and the Trainer Gallery adds 30 more, numbered TG01 to TG30. A complete master set is 396 cards: all 247, Trainer Gallery included, plus 149 reverse holos of the commons, uncommons, rares and holo rares.
Giratina V alternate full art (186/196), at $821.01 in market prices on Oct 29, 2026, about four times the next card. The Aerodactyl V alternate art (180/196) is second at $201, then two Trainer Gallery cards, Pikachu V (TG16) at $107 and Pikachu VMAX (TG17) at $93. A 30-card subset, numbered TG01 to TG30, of mostly full art cards that show a Pokemon with its trainer. Gallery cards come in the same booster packs, in place of the reverse holo, and each has only one version. Several rank among the set's best cards: on Oct 29, 2026, Pikachu V (TG16) was $107 in market prices, Pikachu VMAX (TG17) $93, Gengar (TG06) $47, Pikachu (TG05) $41 and Mew VMAX (TG30) $30.
The Lost Zone is where cards go when they leave the game for good. Unlike the discard pile, nothing comes back from it. Lost Origin brought it back for the first time since Cosmic Eclipse, and its Lost Zone cards carry a shadowy aura of purple, pink and turquoise wisps. Giratina VSTAR is the headline card: its Star Requiem attack Knocks Out the opponent's Active Pokemon once you have 10 or more cards in the Lost Zone.
No one has published a large pack-opening study for Lost Origin. One community count of 718 packs found a Trainer Gallery card in about 1 in 8 packs, roughly four or five per 36-pack booster box, but it mixes the site's own pulls with outside data, so treat it as a rough guide. Nobody has a reliable figure for one card like the Giratina alt art. A sealed box was $731.62 on Oct 29, 2026; see the Lost Origin sealed product page for today's prices.
September 9, 2022, as the eleventh main expansion of the Sword & Shield series. It came after Astral Radiance and the special set Pokemon GO, and before Silver Tempest. It is built mostly from the Japanese set Lost Abyss, plus the Dark Phantasma subset and cards from the VSTAR & VMAX High-Class Decks.
